Ragesh Following public grievances and targeted inspections over the past two days, the Kozhikode Corporation ordered the immediate closure of three stalls at the dedicated food street at the beach on Saturday (April 18). The action follows mounting criticism regarding the deteriorating sanitary conditions of the civic-led initiative. During an inspection on Thursday (April 16), health officials reportedly seized quantities of perished meat and stale vegetables from one of the outlets. “We have issued a stern warning to all vendors to strictly comply with health protocols and maintain hygiene in the area,” N.K. Hareesh, Corporation secretary, told The Hindu.
