Kerala hartal: Kannur sees sporadic protests, life largely unaffected

The hartal called by Dalit and tribal organisations in Kerala in protest against the death of dental college student R. L. Nithin Raj, is being observed in parts of Kannur on Tuesday, even as normal life was largely unaffected, with shops and markets functioning as usual in many areas.

The police removed protesters who attempted to block vehicles, including in Kannur town, where activists tried to disrupt traffic.
