Three operators of InstaPay loan app have been arrested and sent to judicial custody in connection with the death of BDS student Nithin Raj R.L. of Kannur Dental College at Anjarakandy in Kerala, with the police citing sustained harassment linked to loan recovery practices as a key line of investigation.

The arrested have been identified as Rishikesh Tiwari (32), Prashant Khewal (28) and Jayaprakash (54), who were operating as managers of the loan app centre. They were taken into custody by the Kannur City Cyber Crime police from Noida following what officials said was a coordinated operation. The arrests were made based on a complaint filed by a faculty member of the college.
