Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha announced that her political party will be launched on Saturday (April 25, 2026). This comes three-and-half-months after she announced that Telangana Jagruthi will emerge as a political party and contest the next Assembly elections. She resigned from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in September, 2025. Addressing a press conference held in Hyderabad on Tuesday (April 21, 2026), Ms. Kavitha said that the launch will be held at Munnerabad in Medchal Malkajgiri district around 10 a.m. She appealed to people to join the programme and that Jagruthi’s cadre are on padayatra from various districts, including Sircilla, Gajwel and Siddipet, to join the launch. “This will be a platform in our State which will give voice to the voiceless,” she said.
