A kavadiga, a caretaker of trained elephants, suffered serious injuries after he was attacked by one of the kumki elephants at Bikkodu in Belur taluk on Thursday. The Forest Department has set up an elephant camp at Bikkodu village and brought trained elephants to take part in the operation to capture the tusker that killed a farmer on Sunday.
