Karassery grama panchayat plans to reopen the Take-a-Break facility on the Koyilandy-Edavanna State highway, aiming to restore a key roadside amenity for travellers. The facility, located at North Karassery Madampuram, has remained closed for nearly one-and-a-half years. It was inaugurated on June 14, 2023. The panchayat has begun renovating the facility with a renewed focus on public service rather than revenue generation. “The renovation work is progressing, and the facility will be reopened with a strong emphasis on service, ensuring maximum benefit to travellers,” said G. Abdul Akbar, president of Karassery grama panchayat.
