K.V. Thomas sees LDF retaining power in Kerala, calls Congress infighting ‘pitiable’

K.V. Thomas, Kerala’s Special Representative in New Delhi, remains confident that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) will secure a third successive term in power, even as he voiced disappointment over the reported infighting within his former party, the Congress, ahead of the 2026 Assembly election results.

He said “people are not against the government but are desirous of change, which has always been the case.” At the same time, they want continuity in governance and expect all current development works to move forward under those who initiated them.
