Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy announced a series of measures to speed up and streamline the implementation of the State government’s flagship Indiramma Housing Scheme, including decentralisation of powers to District Collectors. At a high-level review meeting on housing and revenue issues with public representatives and officials of erstwhile Nizamabad and Adilabad districts, the Minister announced the appointment of special officers for each erstwhile district to monitor implementation and resolve local issues and directed District Collectors to conduct weekly reviews to avoid bottlenecks.
