Amidst the looming fuel supply disruptions due to the West Asia crisis, total natural gas available for sale in India grew 7.8% in March 2026, fuelled by an increase in imports of liquified natural gas (LNG). This increase in availability comes even though India’s net domestic production of natural gas for sale slipped 4.3% in March.

March 2026 was the first month following the start of the West Asia crisis.
