I-T department staff seek old pension scheme

The Income Tax Employees Federation, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Circle, has urged the Centre to implement the old pension scheme. A resolution to this effect was adopted at the 15th conference of delegates here on Friday and Saturday. 

Grant of 20% basic pay as interim relief and merging 50% dearness allowance with the basic pay were the other two resolutions that were passed at the conference, which was inaugurated by the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Chennai, D. Sudhakara Rao. New office-bearers were elected at the conference, a press release said.
