Nudging towards the completion of your academic years, you wish time would slow down indefinitely. The looming uncertainty is overwhelming, and you feel unprepared. Seniors and guardians around you are uncertain, even cagey, as you look to them for guidance through this unfamiliar cycle. These are unprecedented times in your young lifespan.

The wisdom of ‘this too shall pass’, and the lived experiences of similar cycles in our history help keep things in perspective. Parallelly, reinforcing your inner foundation, like shoring up a building’s load-bearing walls to weather storms, is an opportunity. It begins with examining the building blocks that make your foundation. An audit — taking stock of your routines, skills, values, and emotional tools that hold you together to help understand what supports you and what needs strengthening — will give you the psychological safety to move forward. Much like a city assessing to invest in infrastructure to withhold against storms. Let us call this Inner Infrastructure.
