The ongoing heatwave and prolonged dry spell have significantly delayed the arrival of good-quality mangoes in markets across Mysuru, horticulture experts say, raising concerns among consumers and traders alike.

Unlike last year, when markets were already flooded with popular varieties by this time, this season has seen limited arrivals and below-average quality. Experts attribute this to extreme summer temperatures and depleted soil moisture, which have adversely affected the crop.
