Ham, one of two overnight toppers, carded three-under 68 to be the sole leader at the halfway mark with a two-stroke cushion (10-under 132). After a sedate start on the front nine, the Korean managed three birdies – on holes 10, 12 and 18 – while bogeying on par-four hole 15, an act which did not prove costly in the end.
