GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg addressing a press conference at his chamber in Visakhapatnam on Thursday. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Commissioner Ketan Garg on Thursday announced that the corporation has prepared a comprehensive summer action plan to ensure uninterrupted water supply across the city. The plan prepared at a budget of approximately Rs 25 crore, includes 98 works aimed at addressing water-related issues. The Commissioner said that all 98 wards have been surveyed to identify vulnerable water supply points and problematic areas. Necessary measures will be taken to prevent inconvenience to residents and ensure adequate water supply. The works under the plan include repairing leakages, drilling new borewells, restoring defunct ones, deploying water tankers, and other related interventions.
