Guntur district police on Thursday busted two cricket betting rackets operating within the city and arrested 15 persons in two separate cases, Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal said at a press conference. Giving details, the SP said a major raid was carried out under Lalapet police station limits on the night of April 22 following credible information about betting activity at a house in Chakali Gunta First Line on Etukuru Road. Acting on the tip-off, Circle Inspector A. V. Siva Prasad and Sub-Inspector Sk. Haseem led the operation, apprehending 11 accused and seizing 10 mobile phones and ₹1.25 lakh in cash.
