Officials of the Lokayukta have arrested a computer operator of Malli Gram Panchayat in Yadrami taluk for accepting bribe to facilitate release of housing scheme funds. The accused, Bandenawaz, demanded ₹20,000 from a complainant, Mallikarjun, for processing and releasing financial assistance sanctioned under the Basava Vasati Yojana in favour of his brother.
