The State government has initiated the process of clearing dues amounting to ₹1,000 crore to private hospitals empanelled under the Dr. NTR Vaidya Seva. So far, around ₹62 crore has been released to about 25 hospitals, according to a press note issued by the Department of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare. Overall, dues totalling ₹2,044 crore are pending to be cleared to 873 private hospitals.
