F414 engine File photo: Special Arrangement U.S. defence major GE Aerospace on Tuesday (April 14, 2026) said it had made significant progress with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) towards finalising a partnership to co-produce F414 jet engines in India for future combat aircraft. The two sides, which have been in talks for nearly three years since signing an agreement on the co-production of F414 fighter jet engines, are now close to concluding key elements of the programme.
