Four persons were killed in a road accident on Madurai-Thoothukudi National Highway near Muthulapuram junction in the district on Monday. According to police, five members, including two children, from Kolathur in Chennai, along with a driver from Ulundurpet, were proceeding from Tiruchendur Subramaniya Swamy temple towards Madurai in a sports utility vehicle (SUV). The vehicle rammed into the rear side of the stationery lorry near Muthulapuram junction.
