Govarthan Amid rising temperatures in the district, a five-bed heatstroke prevention ward has been opened at the Government Headquarters Hospital here. Over the past few days, temperatures have been hovering around 40°C, with intense heat prevailing between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The sultry conditions have also caused discomfort at night, affecting sleep.
