Electronic voting machines (EVMs) and VVPAT units used in the polling for the four Assembly constituencies in the district were sealed and secured on Friday in strong rooms on the campus of Kumarasamy College of Engineering and Technology here. Polling was held across the district’s Assembly constituencies such as Karur, Aravakurichi, Krishnarayapuram (SC) and Kulithalai on Thursday. After the end of polling, the EVMs were transported to the counting centre with tight police protection.
