Siva Saravanan Preparations are under way at the Government College of Technology (GCT) in Coimbatore for setting up strong rooms for electronic voting machines (EVMs) and counting halls ahead of the Assembly election, which will be held on April 23. The college campus on Thadagam Road has been designated as the counting centre for the district. Works to ready the strong rooms, install surveillance systems and arrange counting infrastructure are in progress.
