Telangana Electricity Artisans Joint Action Committee (JAC) called off the strike with immediate effect on Friday (April 17, 2026) morning, following assurances from Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. He directed them to hold discussions with Transmission Corporation of Telangana’s (TRANSCO) Chairman and Managing Director on their issues.

Pointing to the ban on strikes and the peak demand for electricity in summer, the Deputy Chief Minister, who is also Energy Minister, said that it is not appropriate to resort to a sudden strike.
