Former Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday said that educating girls is not just a right but a key driver of social change, and called for greater focus on women’s empowerment through education. Addressing the annual convocation of Smt. N.P. Savithramma Government Women’s Degree College (Autonomous) here, Mr. Venkaiah Naidu said that when women are educated, the benefits extend beyond the individual to the entire family and society. “This will lead to better health, improved nutrition for children, and stronger educational outcomes for the next generation. Women play an important role in economic development and social stability,” the former Vice-President said.
