The DYFI activists courted arrest midway through their protest march to lay siege the office of District In-charge Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao at Padil on Tuesday. The activists carried out the march to protest against the recent MOU signed between the Health Department and A.J. Institute of Medical Services, Alva’s Health Centre Moodbidri, and The Yenepoya Medical College Hospital, Deralakatte, to allow the later institutes to offer clinical and diagnostic services at Bantwal Taluk Hospital, Belthangady Taluk Hospital, Moodbidri Community Health Centre and Vitla Community Health Centre.
