VELANKANNI RAJ After numerous rounds of deliberations that went on for months, Southern Railway has forwarded the draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the takeover of MRTS by Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) to the Railway Board for approval. If this comes through, the State government will sign the MoU with Southern Railway to commence the takeover process.
