SRINATH Villivakkam constituency is emerging as one of the most closely watched battlegrounds this election, and at the centre of it is Karthik Mohan — a 44-year-old first-timer — stepping into a high-stakes political arena. Fielded by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), he faces opponents including Aadhav Arjuna, the second-in-command of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), S.R. Vijayakumar of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and S. Roshini of Naam Tamilar Katchi.
