KARTHIKEYAN The day long polling in Dindigul district ended on a peaceful note and that the approximate voting percentage compiled at around 9 p.m. stood at 88.98 %, while the accurate figures would be known by Friday, said District Election Officer S Saravanan. The seven Assembly Constituencies – Dindigul, Natham, Vedasandur, Oddanchatram, Nilakottai, Palani and Athoor reported brisk polling from 7 a.m. Irrespective of the scorching Sun, people had lined up in long queues. The highlight was that a number of youngsters were cheerfully displaying their ID cards and showed thumbs-up signalling a change in the government.
