An accused involved in a broad daylight bank heist of cash and gold worth more than ₹15 crore in Madhya Pradesh’s Singrauli was arrested from a train in Bihar’s Aurangabad district, officers told The Hindu on Saturday (April 18, 2026). According to the police, the accused was detained by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) from an express train near Aurangabad’s Nabinagar station when he was found in suspicious condition and was arrested after questioning. The man has been identified as Kamlesh Kumar and cash of about ₹15 lakh and some gold has been recovered from him.
