The Communist Party of India (CPI) Andhra Pradesh State Council has urged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to take urgent measures to protect extensive lands belonging to the historic Hathiramji Mutt in Tirupati, which are reportedly facing large-scale encroachments. In a letter dated Wednesday, CPI State secretary Gujjula Eswaraiah claimed that nearly 244 acres of Mutt land, valued at around ₹2,562 crore, has allegedly been encroached upon. He blamed the land mafias and administrative inaction, stating that the issue has persisted since the previous government’s tenure.
