DMK and AIADMK functionaries vied with each other to canvass votes in front of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School where polling officials where casting postal ballot in Dindigul on Saturday. | Photo Credit: KARTHIKEYAN G Chaos ensued at St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School in Dindigul on Saturday where the postal voting for officials engaged in polling duty was under way after functionaries of various political parties attempted to canvass votes for their candidates on the school premises. Postal voting for the polling officials began on Saturday. Necessary arrangements had been made at the centres across the seven Assembly constituencies to ensure that the officials cast their votes adhering to the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India.
