The Tamil Nadu Bishops’ Council and Christians Rights Movement appealed to voters, particularly Christians, to support the parties protecting the secular fabric of the State, “which is facing serious threat from communal forces and their disguised allies”. In a statement, the council said the four-cornered electoral battle in Tamil Nadu should be approached with caution.
