Telangana government employees transfers should be subject to the condition that not more than 40% of the employees in any cadre should be transferred to ensure that there was no dislocation of work. Telangana Government on Tuesday (April 21, 2026) has temporarily relaxed the ban on transfers of employees of different departments. The Government has issued orders specifying the conditions for eligibility and the guidelines to be followed while effecting the transfers. Accordingly, transfers will be made between May 1 and 31 and persons who had completed three years in a particular station as on January 1, 2026, would be eligible for transfers. The condition would not be mandatory for employees who sought transfers on spouse grounds.
