Awareness drive for Census 2027 to begin on April 16

District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore has urged residents to utilise the self-enumeration facility introduced as part of the census 2027 exercise. In a statement issued on Wednesday, he said citizens can register their details through the official portal https://se.census.gov.in between April 16 and April 30, 2026. Special awareness campaigns are being held across the district to ensure wider participation. Public representatives, officials, students, and self-help groups have been asked to guide others. Secretariat staff have been directed to assist at least 10 to 20 persons daily. The Collector emphasised that participation is voluntary and vital for accurate national data.
