Secretary, Education and Skill Development and Training, Kona Sasidhar, on Thursday said the government is strengthening institutional convergence by bringing all skill-related departments under a unified Commissionerate of Skill, Employment and Training. Addressing a State-level workshop on the “One District – One Skill Vision” and formulation of District Skill Development Plans, organised by the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation in collaboration with the Department of Employment and Training and SEEDAP in Vijayawada, Mr. Sasidhar said a cluster-based, district-centric approach is being adopted. Under this model, District Skill Development Plans will identify priority sectors and employment opportunities aligned with local economic potential.
