The State government has launched the Pashu Kisan Credit Card (PKCC) Scheme, a major initiative aimed at strengthening the financial position of livestock farmers and boosting the animal husbandry sector.

Animal Husbandry Department Director T. Damodar Naidu, in a press release on Monday, said the scheme enables farmers rearing cattle, buffaloes, goats, sheep, pigs and poultry to access institutional credit at low interest rates. The initiative is intended to reduce dependence on private moneylenders charging high interest and to promote sustainable livestock management practices.
