Representative image | Photo Credit: Getty Images/iStockphoto Demonstrations of AI-driven medical technologies in government hospitals across the State are yielding encouraging results, the Department of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare said on Thursday (April 23, 2026). Following the launch of the A.P. MedTech Innovation Challenge in November 2025, the department received 297 applications and shortlisted 18 innovators. The startups have been piloting their technologies in government hospitals to improve healthcare delivery.
