Andhra Pradesh Minister for Minority Welfare N Md. Farooq has formally flagged off the second batch of Haj pilgrims from Gannavaram airport, marking another phase in the State’s arrangements for the annual pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. A total of 177 pilgrims departed as part of the final batch on Sunday (April 19, 2026). Addressing the pilgrims at a meeting held at the SM Convention Centre in Gannavaram, the Minister conveyed his best wishes and expressed hope that their sacred journey to Mecca and Medina would be completed safely and successfully.
