In the evening of a hot sweltering Chennai weekend, crowds grew as Union Minister for Home Affairs and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Amit Shah began his roadshow in Mylapore, campaigning for the candidates contesting in the upcoming Assembly elections in the State.

At 7.00 pm on Sunday, Amit Shah rode in the campaign vehicle, waving to people as they chanted ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. Mylapore constituency BJP candidate Tamilisai Soundararajan, Thousand Lights AIADMK candidate B. Valarmathi and Velachery AIADMK candidate M.K. Ashok also waved to the people of Mylapore near Kapaleeshwarar Temple.
