RAJU The 135th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was commemorated throughout Visakhapatnam on Tuesday, marked by tributes, public gatherings, and a renewed emphasis on the importance of upholding his principles of social justice, equality, and constitutional governance. At Daba Gardens, District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore, along with legislators Vishnu Kumar Raju and Vamsi Krishna Yadav, paid floral tributes to Ambedkar’s statue. Addressing the gathering, the Collector described Ambedkar as a scholar of rare depth, a social reformer, and a visionary who approached every subject with rigour and scientific temper. He urged citizens, particularly the youth, to translate Ambedkar’s ideas into practice and draw inspiration from his intellectual discipline and commitment to public service.
