In view of the huge pilgrim turnout anticipated for ‘Ramakrishna Teertha Mukkoti’ on February 1 (Sunday), Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has put in place a set of arrangements to ensure smooth, safe and spiritually enriching experience for devotees.

TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary during a detailed review at the Padmavathi Guest House on Wednesday, directed officials to treat the annual spiritual event with utmost seriousness and emphasised robust crowd regulation and effective inter-departmental coordination.

Officials were instructed to erect shamianas along pilgrim routes, install prominent display boards and disseminate continuous announcements through radio broadcasting systems. Security and vigilance teams, in coordination with the police, were asked to remain on high alert. Arrangements relating to Annaprasadam, drinking water supply, sanitation, medical care and Forest department coordination were reviewed.

Medical preparedness includes four health camps and two ambulances, with mandatory medical screening before pilgrims are permitted to the sacred water body. Persons with chronic ailments and young children will not be allowed, private vehicles and two-wheelers will be barred, with APSRTC buses alone entrusted with the task of ferrying pilgrims. Entry towards the theertham will be permitted only between 5 a.m. and 12 p.m. on February 1.
