AIADMK launches pamphlet drive on first-phase poll promises

Thoothukudi south district AIADMK party members launched the distribution of pamphlets containing the party’s first phase of election promises to the public in Thoothukudi on Thursday.

Ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami has announced first phase of election promises, which include a monthly financial assistance of ₹2,000 for women called Kula Vilakku Thittam, free bus travel for men, increase in the duration of the Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme from 125 days to 150 days among other schemes.

With the objective of creating awareness among the public about these schemes, the pamphlets detailing the first phase of poll promises announced by AIADMK’s general secretary have been distributed to the public in Thoothukudi.

The distribution event was inaugurated by S. P. Shanmuganathan, former AIADMK minister and Thoothukudi South District Secretary, AIADMK. Following that, the party cadres distributed pamphlets in shops and residential areas in V.O.C Market, Kamaraj Vegetable Market and other areas.
