The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department has introduced an initiative encouraging residents to become “experience hosts,” with the aim of showcasing the State’s cultural diversity and everyday traditions through community-led tourism. As part of the programme, “Become an Experience Host,” individuals are invited to curate guided experiences rooted in local life, from village walks and traditional food trails to sharing lesser-known aspects of village life, narrating local histories, and demonstrating indigenous occupations and customs, allowing residents to present their heritage and lived traditions to visitors.
