Chairing a divisional-level meeting in Yadgir on January 11., Mr. Timmapur stressed on the need to prevent use of CH powder in the district. Despite precise instructions, CH powder is being sold unabatedly for making illicit liquor and hooch. “Officials have to act strictly to prevent such activities as illicit liquor is causing harm to human lives,” he said. The Excise Minister directed the officials to take action against persons selling illicit liquor and hooch in a house in Yadgir city after MLA Channareddy Patil Tunnur brought the issue to his notice. Sharanappa Saladpur, Chairperson of the Liquor Control Board, gave some instruction on how to prevent illicit liquor production in Shahapur city.
