Two persons were arrested and a total of 6.33 kilograms of ganja was seized in two separate operations by excise officials in different parts of Hyderabad.

In the first case, a man was arrested by the State Task Force – D team for selling ganja near the Narayanguda Metro Station during the checks conducted on the Sultan Bazar–Narayanguda road. The accused was identified as Shaik Musafar. The officials seized 2.6 kilograms of ganja, along with a motorcycle and a mobile phone from his possession. The accused and the seized contraband were later handed over to the Narayanguda Excise Station for further Investigation.

In a separate case, police arrested another person, identified as MD Irfan, following information that ganja sourced from Latur was being sold in areas around Saroornagar. A team led by DTF Circle Inspector (CI) Satyanarayana Rao, along with Sub Inspector (SI) Shankar and constables Revanth, Rajiv, Venkatesh and Sudhakar, conducted checks and seized 3.730 kilograms of ganja worth about ₹1.75 lakh. Police also seized the accused’s mobile phone and scooter.

The accused and the seized contraband were handed over to the Saroornagar Excise Station for further investigation.
