Hyderabad Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory in view of the Telangana State Police’s road safety programme, ‘Arrive Alive – A Campaign for Safer Roads in Telangana’, scheduled to be held at the Shri Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium in Yousufguda on Monday (January 12).

With a large turnout of the general public and college students expected for the event, police said moderate traffic congestion was anticipated in and around the venue between 2.30 p.m. and 6 p.m.. Commuters have been advised to avoid travelling towards the stadium during this period and to follow the designated diversions to prevent inconvenience.

According to the advisory, traffic moving from Maitrivanam junction towards Yousufguda basti, Rahamath Nagar, Karmika Nagar and Borabanda bus stop will be diverted at Yousufguda basti towards Krishna Kanth Park, GTS Temple, Kalyan Nagar, Mothi Nagar and Borabanda bus stop.

Vehicles proceeding from Maitrivanam junction towards Jubilee Hills checkpost via Yousufguda checkpost and Madhapur will also be diverted at Yousufguda basti towards RBI Quarters, Krishna Nagar junction and Jubilee Hills checkpost.

Traffic coming from Jubilee Hills checkpost and Venkatagiri towards the Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium will be diverted at Krishna Nagar junction towards Srinagar Colony and Panjagutta. Vehicles travelling from Borabanda bus stop towards Karmika Nagar, Rahamath Nagar and Yousufguda checkpost will be diverted at Prime Garden Function Hall in Sri Ram Nagar towards Midland Bakery, GTS Colony, Kalyan Nagar junction, Vengal Rao Nagar, Umesh Chandra statue U-turn, ICICI U-turn and Maitrivanam junction.

Police said parking for the general public attending the programme would be available at the TGSP Battalion Ground in Yousufguda.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police appealed to citizens to take note of the advisory and cooperate with traffic personnel.
