File. | Photo Credit: PTI A local court in Meghalaya’s capital Shillong has granted bail to Sonam Raghuvanshi, the prime accused in the murder of her businessman-husband Raja Raghuvanshi in May 2025. In her order on Monday, (April 27, 2026), Additional Deputy Commissioner (Judicial) D.R. Kharbteng said the accused was entitled to be released on bail as the “facts constituting grounds of arrest” in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur were not effectively communicated” to her in clear terms. The order was made available on Tuesday (April 28, 2026).
