Following predictions by the India Meteorological Department authorities that there may be heavy rain in the Idukki-Theni borders on May 1, the Theni District Collector Ranjith Singh has cautioned the devotees visiting Kannagi temple to bring umbrellas and be safe on Tuesday. In a press release, he said that the annual festival of the temple, which is scheduled on May 1, the district administration of Theni and Idukki had made elaborate arrangements with Forest and other department officials. Considering the prediction by the IMD, the officials are also taking measures for safety of the devotees.
