In a latest development connected with the alleged cash for jobs scam in the Municipal Administration and Water Supply department, Minister K.N. Nehru too has filed a review application urging the Madras High Court to set aside its February 20, 2026 direction to the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption (DVAC) to register a First Information Report (FIR) “forthwith.” The Minister’s review application has been listed along with the State government’s review application before Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and Justice G. Arul Murugan on Tuesday (April 28, 2026). The Minister and the government had also filed sub applications for staying the operation of the verdict until the disposal of their review applications.
