A police constable L. Simhachalam (35), working with the Excise & Prohibition Department, was killed in a road accident late on Thursday night. Two youths riding a two-wheeler collided with the constable’s motorcycle on the NH-16 under the Dwaraka police station limits. Mr. Simhachalam died on the spot. One of the youths involved in the accident sustained grievous injuries and is undergoing treatment. Soon after receiving the information, Dwaraka traffic police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the King George Hospital (KGH), Visakhapatnam for postmortem.
